I have a Linksys router on my network and I pull my net connection from a Comtrend CT-5361T ADSL2+ Router/Modem. To log into my Linksys I use the default 192.168.1.x scheme. When I looked up the scheme for the Comtrend, it has the same default scheme.
Chapter 1 Summary. Comtrend’s CT-5365 is an 802.11g (54Mbps) Wireless and Wired ADSL2+ Router. It comes equipped with four 10/100 Base-T Ethernet ports and an ADSL2+ port for wired connectivity. An integrated 802.11g WLAN Access Point (AP) with Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) provides wireless coverage. Enter the username and password and click “OK” User Name: root Password: 12345 4. Once logged in click on “Wireless” and then click on “Security Settings” 5. Select your Network Authentication method. We recommend “Mixed WPA2/WPA-PSK” 6. Enter your desired password in the box labeled “WPA Pre-Shared Key (Passphrase)” 7.
Now, to my question. How can I determine what the IP logon address of the Comtrend is? In my Linksys I have 10.10.128.20 as my internet ip address, but typing in that ip does not.
So, is there a program that can determine the address of the Comtrend box? I am not trying to log into the Comtrend, I just need to know the IP address of it.
